What are we looking for in our UX Writer?

The Information Technology team at Russell Tobin & Associates is supporting one of the top Technology client that has an opening for a UX writer.

Location: Redmond, WA and Reston, VA (Hybrid)

Pay Rate Range: $30 - $40/hour W2, based on experience.

Duration: 2+ months contract

 

Summary:
The main function of a Researcher is to write technical materials, such as equipment materials, appendices, or operating and maintenance instructions. A typical technical writer is responsible for organizing, editing and maintaining technical records and files.

Job Responsibilities:
• Organize material and complete writing assignment according to set standards regarding order, clarity, conciseness, style and terminology
• Maintain records and files of work and revisions
• Confer with client to establish technical specifications and to determine subject material to be developed for publication

Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in a technical field such as computer science or english, journalism, communications
• 2-4 years experience required
• Experience in in creating documentation for a technical audience
• Excellent writing, editing, and communication skills
• Ability to read some programming code
• Critical thinking and problem-solving skills

Top 3 Hard Skills Required + Years of Experience

1. Minimum 2-3 years experience with MSFT365 - Excel, Powerpoint, Outlook
2. Minimum 2-3 years experience with MSFT Office - Sharepoint and Teams
3. Minimum 2-3 years experience with Data entry or database management
