Job Title: Senior SAP GRC Technical Lead


Company Overview: Our client is a leading downstream oil and gas company committed to delivering excellence in energy solutions based in Houston, Texas.


Position Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior SAP GRC (Governance, Risk, and Compliance) Consultant to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the security and integrity of our SAP systems, identifying and mitigating risks, and aligning security strategies with business objectives.


Key Responsibilities:


Strategy and Planning:

  • Conduct security assessments to identify gaps in existing security architecture and recommend necessary changes or enhancements.
  • Design security architecture elements to effectively mitigate threats and vulnerabilities.
  • Develop solutions that align with enterprise security architecture frameworks and standards, such as SABSA, NIST 800-53, and ISO 27002, while supporting overall business and security strategies.
  • Participate in risk assessments for new technologies and projects, providing expertise on potential security implications.
  • Implement secure configuration management processes to maintain the integrity of SAP systems.
  • Assist in the development of disaster recovery and business continuity plans, prioritizing critical system functions to ensure prompt restoration of essential business processes in the event of system failure.


Communication:

  • Document security requirements and controls for protecting information, systems, and technology assets, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Define and document the impact of new technology implementations on the security posture of the current environment.
  • Maintain accurate records of all definition and architecture activities, updating documentation as necessary to reflect changes.
  • Provide input on security requirements for inclusion in request for proposals (RFPs), statements of work (SOWs), and other procurement documents.
  • Communicate current and emerging security threats to project team members, fostering awareness and proactive measures to mitigate risks.



Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field; Master's degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in SAP GRC implementation and security architecture design.
  • In-depth knowledge of security frameworks and standards, including SABSA, NIST 800-53, and ISO 27002.
  • Experience conducting security assessments and risk analysis for complex IT environments.
  • Strong understanding of disaster recovery and business continuity planning principles.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively document requirements, present findings, and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
  • Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISA, or CISM preferred.



**Candidate must be willing to go into office 3 days a week and eligible to work W2 as this is a full-time opportunity**
