Seeking Mid-Level Political Compliance Associate Attorney
Holtzman Vogel, a national law firm specializing in non-profit, regulatory, campaign finance and election law, and litigation, is seeking a mid-level associate with 3-5 years of experience to support the firm’s compliance practice in its Northern Virginia or Washington, DC offices. Recognized by Chambers USA for outstanding partners in political law, the national practice advises corporations, trade associations, advocacy groups, nonprofits, political committees, and candidates.
Qualified candidates will have experience in some or all of the following and must be able to handle a combination of:
- Advising clients on federal, state, and local campaign finance issues
- Advising clients on federal, state, and local lobbying compliance, including grassroots lobbying
- Advising clients on nonprofit organization compliance, including IRS compliance
- Advising clients on business and nonprofit governance issues, including formation and operation of entities
Applicants must have:
- 3-5 years of experience with political law compliance and tax matters within a law firm environment
- Commitment to client service
- Outstanding written and oral communication skills
- Strong academic credentials
- Great attention to detail
- Sound judgment with the ability to prioritize and work as a team player under the pressure of deadlines and client needs
- An entrepreneurial mindset
