We are actively interviewing candidates for Senior Geomechanics Developer.


Overview: As a Senior Geomechanics, you will be crucial in developing and enhancing industry-leading reservoir simulation software. Utilizing your expertise in Fortran programming and geomechanics, you will contribute to advancing our tools, enabling oil and gas companies to optimize reservoir performance and maximize recovery.


Responsibilities:

1. Develop and maintain geomechanics modules within our reservoir simulation software suite.

2. Implement new features and enhancements in Fortran to improve the accuracy and efficiency of geomechanical simulations.

3. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including geoscientists, reservoir engineers, and software developers, to understand user requirements and translate them into software solutions.

4. Conduct code reviews and provide technical guidance to junior developers to ensure high-quality code standards.

5. Optimize algorithms and computational methods to solve geomechanical problems associated with reservoir modeling efficiently.

6. Stay updated with industry trends, geomechanics, and reservoir simulation advancements to incorporate state-of-the-art techniques into our software offerings.

7. Participate in testing and validation activities to ensure the reliability and robustness of geomechanics modules.

8. Support clients and internal stakeholders with geomechanics-related inquiries and issues.

9. Contribute to technical documentation, including user manuals and technical notes, to assist users in effectively utilizing geomechanics features.

10. Actively participate in research and development projects to explore innovative solutions and expand our software capabilities in geomechanics.


Qualifications:

1. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Geophysics, or a related field. Advanced degree (Master's or Ph.D.) preferred.

2. Extensive experience in software development using Fortran, focusing on scientific computing and numerical methods.

3. Strong background in geomechanics, reservoir engineering, or related disciplines, with hands-on experience in reservoir simulation software development preferred.

4. Proficiency in parallel programming techniques and high-performance computing (HPC) environments.

5. Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently and as part of a team.

6. Effective communication skills with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to diverse audiences.

7. Prior experience in the oil and gas industry is a plus.

8. Familiarity with our software suite or other reservoir simulation packages is advantageous.

9. Strong commitment to continuous learning and professional development.
