Job Description:

The Paraplanner will assist the financial advisor(s) with all aspects of delivering an exceptional, personalized client service experience. This position requires the highest ethical standards and the continued advancement of professional knowledge and skills. Responsibilities may change over time to meet the needs of the practice.


Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Execute securities trades and money movements
  • Collaborate with financial advisor(s) throughout all stages of financial plan design and delivery
  • Prepare client meeting materials, follow-up letters, applications, forms, and relevant compliance documents
  • Develop financial planning portfolio recommendations for financial advisor(s) review
  • Advanced knowledge of all technology platforms (Microsoft Office, Salesforce, etc.)
  • Advanced knowledge of all financial planning software (MoneyGuide Pro, NaviPlan, Thomson One, etc.)
  • Track workflows, run reports, and integrate relevant compliance initiatives
  • Maintain regular client contact to collect data, provide information, answer questions, and resolve issues
  • Communicate with financial advisors, staff, and corporate office individuals

Education and Designations:

  • College degree or higher
  • 2+ years of related experience preferred
  • Have or be able to obtain the Financial Paraplanner Qualified Professional™ (FPQP™) designation
  • Have or be able to obtain the necessary securities licenses and registrations, including: Series 7, Series 66, and state life/accident/health insurance licenses
