Job Details:

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Lab Technician to join our dynamic team. This position offers a unique opportunity to delve into a hands-on role, working with cutting-edge technology and contributing to innovative engineering projects. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing a variety of technical duties, including the operation and maintenance of laboratory equipment, conducting tests, and analyzing data.

Responsibilities:

1. Operate and maintain laboratory equipment, including ICP, GC, and GC-MS, ensuring optimal performance and safety at all times.
2. Perform various chemical analyses and interpret the results to provide accurate and timely data to the engineering team.
3. Prepare samples for testing, including the use of various lab techniques and procedures.
4. Document all procedures, observations, and results accurately and meticulously, maintaining strict adherence to quality control standards.
5. Collaborate with the engineering team to develop and improve testing methods, procedures, and protocols.
6. Participate in troubleshooting, diagnosing, and resolving technical issues that arise during testing.
7. Ensure the lab is well-stocked and resourced, managing inventory of lab supplies and equipment.
8. Adhere to all safety procedures and maintain a clean and safe working environment at all times.

Qualifications:

1. A minimum of an Associate's degree in Chemistry, Engineering, or a related field. A Bachelor's degree is preferred.
2. At least 2 years of experience working in a laboratory setting, preferably within the engineering industry.
3. Proficient in the operation and maintenance of laboratory equipment, including but not limited to ICP, GC, and GC-MS.
4. Strong knowledge of chemical analyses and lab procedures.
5. Excellent documentation skills with high attention to detail.
6. Proven ability to work collaboratively within a team as well as independently.
7. Strong problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot technical issues.
8. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
9. A strong commitment to maintaining a safe, clean, and efficient laboratory environment.
10. Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously, prioritize workload effectively, and meet deadlines.
