Couchbase Architect

We are seeking a Couchbase Architect - Ansible within the software development organization who will provide thought leadership and direction in aligning projects and solutions to a technology vision they will help evolve. This role works closely with business partners and technology leadership in the assessment of business initiatives and their impact on current technology, modernization efforts, and change management.

In this dynamic environment, you must possess a "can-do" attitude while demonstrating a strong work ethic. You should have a strong aptitude to help drive decisions. You will be actively involved in influencing the strategic direction of technology.

You must understand the available technology options and educate technology teams to use them where appropriate. You will recognize and propose alternatives, make recommendations, and describe any necessary trade-offs.

Role and Responsibilities:

· Help define and execute on the data strategy and vision.

· Develop, document, and provide input into the technology roadmap.

· Create reference architectures that demonstrate an understanding of significant components and the relationships between them.

· Implement best practices, standards, and guidance and provide coaching of technology team members.

· Make recommendations to leadership regarding strategic architectural considerations related to data design and process.

· Provide thought-leadership, advocacy, assurance, and maintenance of the enterprise architecture discipline.

Required Experience and Education:

· Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or similar technical field.

· At least 5+ years of experience with the following:

· Experience in working with Relationship databases and SQL.

· Should come from a programming background and be very well versed in writing code.

· Extensive history with Ansible and writing scripts.

· Previous experience with Couchbase tech and NoSQL databases required.

· Experience with Mongo, Cassandra, DynamoDB may be used in lieu of CB.

· Proven history working with command systems (Linux, Command line, ECT.).

· Experience working in a consulting role.
