As our client continues to expand its footprint and influence in the industry, they are seeking a dynamic Senior Estimator to join their ranks. As a Senior Estimator, you will play a pivotal role in our client's continued success by overseeing the estimating department, ensuring accurate pricing for new construction projects, renovations, change orders, and various cost-associated endeavors. Reporting directly to the Executive Vice President (EVP) and President, you will collaborate closely with key stakeholders to assess new opportunities, schedule bids, and meet critical deadlines.


Location: Office-based, Crown Point, IN

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the EVP and President in evaluating new projects and prioritizing bids to meet organizational objectives.
  • Utilize your intimate knowledge and past experiences to conduct thorough material take-offs, time studies, and value engineering assessments.
  • Work closely with designers, architects, general contractors, and clients during the design stage to determine project scope and finalize pricing.
  • Identify potential cost-saving opportunities and value engineering ideas to enhance project efficiency and profitability.
  • Present final pricing decisions to the EVP and President for approval, ensuring alignment with company objectives and profitability targets.


Requirements:

  • Proven experience in architectural millwork estimating, with a deep understanding of material pricing, fabrication methods, and installation costs.
  • Proficiency in value engineering principles and techniques to optimize project outcomes.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail, with the ability to conduct accurate take-offs and time studies.
  • Exceptional organizational and time management abilities, ensuring timely completion of projects and meeting deadlines.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with internal teams and external stakeholders.
  • Software proficiency in Bluebeam and Excel is desired.
