Salesforce Lead
We are looking for an experienced Salesforce Lead to guide our client's design, development, and implementation of tailored Salesforce solutions. This essential role requires in-depth knowledge of the Salesforce platform and the ability to lead a team of developers and administrators to deliver effective solutions that meet business needs across multiple Salesforce clouds. Candidates local to the Des Moines, IA area are preferred for an onsite or hybrid work arrangement.

Responsibilities
- Lead the technical design and development of Salesforce solutions, ensuring alignment with business goals and adherence to best practices.
- Provide technical leadership and support to Salesforce developers.
- Perform code reviews to ensure high standards of quality and maintainability.
- Oversee Salesforce deployments across different environments.
- Stay current on Salesforce releases and emerging technologies.
- Work with stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical solutions for Sales, Service, or Marketing Clouds.
- Design scalable, efficient Salesforce solutions.
- Integrate Salesforce with other enterprise systems using APIs and middleware, such as MuleSoft.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex Salesforce issues.
- Contribute to project planning and execution.
- Estimate project timelines and resource needs.
- Identify opportunities to optimize Salesforce implementations.
- Monitor and enhance the performance of Salesforce applications.
Required Skills and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field.
- 6+ years of hands-on Salesforce development experience (Apex, Visualforce, Lightning Web Components, MuleSoft, Salesforce APIs).
- 3+ years in a Salesforce Technical Lead role with experience managing large-scale implementations.
- Proven experience in technical leadership.
- Knowledge of “clicks-not-code” development (e.g., Screen Flows, Record Launched Flows).
- Familiarity with Salesforce administration tasks (object models, sharing rules, validation rules).
- Experience with source control systems (e.g., Git, SVN).
- Knowledge of SFDX project structures and managing code conflicts.
- Strong experience with API integration (REST, SOAP).
- Expertise in the Salesforce platform, with the ability to lead development across multiple Salesforce clouds.
- Demonstrated success in designing and implementing complex Salesforce and/or MuleSoft solutions.
- Proficiency in Salesforce integration, data modeling, and security.
- Familiarity with CI/CD processes and tools like SFDX and Copado for deployment management.
- Experience with code reviews and enforcing best practices to ensure scalable solutions.
- At least one Salesforce Certification (Platform App Builder, Platform Developer 1, JavaScript Developer 1).
- Ability to understand project scope, follow technical specifications, and complete tasks within deadlines.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills across teams and organizational levels.
- Effective analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills.
- Self-motivated, flexible, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Willingness to work outside of regular hours when needed.
Preferred Skills and Experience
- Advanced Salesforce certifications, such as Salesforce Certified Technical Architect.
