Position Description:

Designs and implements application components using Python, Java, Groovy, and Go. Deploys and configures software applications within public cloud environments -- Amazon Web Services (AWS) and Azure. Supports Infrastructure as Code (IaC) processes using Docker, Kubernetes, and Terraform. Builds automation pipelines by leveraging DevOps concepts and Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) tools like GitHub, Bitbucket, Artifactory, and Jenkins. Identifies sources of software threats and vulnerabilities by leveraging Software Security Scanning (SAST or SCA) tools.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Develops and supports cloud-native technical solutions for digital services.
  • Implements process improvements within Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) environments -- Agile.
  • Confers with systems analysts, engineers, programmers and others to design systems and to obtain information on project limitations and capabilities, performance requirements and interfaces.
  • Develops or directs software system testing or validation procedures, programming, or documentation.

Education and Experience:

Bachelor s degree (or foreign education equivalent) in Computer Science, Computer Technology, Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, Mathematics, Physics, or a closely related field and five (5) years of experience as a Principal Cloud Engineer (or closely related occupation) building automation pipelines using DevOps concepts and Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) tools -- GitHub, Bitbucket, Artifactory, and Jenkins.

Or, alternatively, Master s degree (or foreign education equivalent) in Computer Science, Computer Technology, Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, Mathematics, Physics, or a closely related field and three (3) years of experience as a Principal Cloud Engineer (or closely related occupation) building automation pipelines using DevOps concepts and Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) tools -- GitHub, Bitbucket, Artifactory, and Jenkins.

Skills and Knowledge:

Candidate must also possess:

  • Demonstrated Expertise (\u201CDE\u201D) designing, provisioning, and securing infrastructure on Amazon Web Services (AWS) using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform and AWS CloudFormation; analyzing architecture to ensure efficient and secure cloud operations, leveraging EC2, S3, RDS, and Lambda services.
  • DE deploying and operating the following platforms GitHub, Bitbucket, Artifactory, X-Ray, Jenkins, Datadog, SonarQube and Terraform Cloud; providing comprehensive support to cross-functional enterprise teams to effectively utilize the tools and administering the platform tools efficiently through Ansible and Helm Charts.
  • DE architecting and provisioning Kubernetes clusters on-premise (Rancher) and on AWS cloud infrastructure (EKS) using Terraform; implementing and integrating robust monitoring solutions with Datadog, Elasticsearch, Kibana, Prometheus, Grafana and CloudWatch to maintain the resilience of microservices.
  • DE designing and implementing CI/CD pipelines using Python, Java, Groovy and Go languages to automate the testing, deployment, and configuration management processes following Agile methodologies and DevOps practices.
