Our client is a leading game development studio dedicated to creating innovative and engaging gaming experiences. With a focus on quality and player satisfaction, they're looking for a strategic and passionate Head of Publishing to lead publishing efforts and expand their reach in the gaming market.


Position Overview: As the Head of Publishing, you will be responsible for overseeing the entire publishing process for their games, with a particular emphasis on Steam and other digital distribution platforms. You will drive the publishing strategy, manage relationships with platform partners, and lead a team of professionals dedicated to bringing our games to players worldwide.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Leadership: Develop and implement the overall publishing strategy for games, focusing on maximizing visibility, reach, and revenue on Steam and other platforms.
  • Market Analysis: Conduct market research to identify trends, competitor strategies, and player preferences, using insights to inform publishing decisions.
  • Team Management: Lead and mentor a team of publishing, marketing, and community management professionals, fostering a collaborative and innovative work environment.
  • Partnership Development: Build and maintain strong relationships with platform partners, including Steam, to ensure optimal game positioning and support.
  • Marketing Oversight: Oversee the creation and execution of marketing campaigns, ensuring they align with brand vision and resonate with our target audience.
  • Community Engagement: Develop strategies to engage with players and build a loyal community around our games, leveraging feedback to enhance player experiences.
  • Performance Monitoring: Analyze sales data and marketing performance metrics to evaluate the success of publishing initiatives and make data-driven recommendations for improvement.
  • Budget Management: Manage the publishing budget, ensuring effective allocation of resources to achieve publishing goals.


Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in a publishing role within the gaming industry, with a strong understanding of Steam and digital distribution.
  • Demonstrated success in launching and marketing games, with a portfolio of successful projects.
  • Strong leadership skills with experience managing and developing teams.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of building relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions.
  • Passion for video games and a deep understanding of gaming culture and trends.
