Housing Coordinator

Job Overview: We are seeking a dedicated Housing Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will assist in the development and implementation of housing programs and services aimed at promoting community development and providing affordable housing solutions. The ideal candidate will have experience in housing policy, program management, and direct client service.

Responsibilities:

• Administer and manage housing programs, including rental assistance, homelessness prevention, and affordable housing initiatives.
• Conduct eligibility determinations, interviews, and assessments for program applicants.
• Develop and maintain relationships with landlords, property managers, and community organizations to secure housing options for clients.
• Provide counseling and support to clients on housing options, tenant rights, and responsibilities.
• Prepare and maintain accurate records and reports on program activities, client progress, and regulatory compliance.
• Coordinate with local, state, and federal agencies to ensure program alignment and compliance.
• Develop outreach materials and conduct presentations to promote housing programs to the community.
• Assist in the development and implementation of policies and procedures for effective program operation.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Urban Planning, Public Administration, or related field.
• Proven experience in housing program administration or a similar role.
• Strong understanding of local and federal housing laws and regulations.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Proficiency in database management and reporting tools.
