Delamar Mystic is seeking a high-performing Director of Sales.

The Director of Sales is primarily responsible for leading & driving top-line revenue strategy for all sales-related segments, including group transient. The individual is additionally liable for staying ahead of market trends, market share movement, and ongoing competitive hotel analysis while directing the property sales teams to ensure budgeted revenues are met or exceeded.

 Job Duties:

  • Active Selling DOS- Solicitation to acquire Corporate Transient and Corporate Group business.
  • Negotiate and confirm annual rate agreements and maintain communication with corporate accounts.
  • Assesses & reacts to market trends, market share & the competitive hotel environment.
  • Conduct comprehensive competitive set reviews, SWOT analysis & keep tabs on new supply.
  • Develop/implement key segment strategy & manage critical accounts (both existing & target).
  • Responsible for hotel sales and marketing initiatives, packages and promotions
  • Strategically plan for need dates to ensure strong occupancy through the year
  • Become a reliable member of the local community while driving local partnerships
  • Manage group pace measurement and set sales production goals.
  • Set sales strategies to achieve overall property goals for both rate and occupancy
  • Target accounts, markets, or segments with proactive solicitation.
  • Participate in local networking organizations, community, and industry events while representing the Hotel in a professional manner
  • Participate in weekly Sales & Revenue meetings, pre-convention meetings (with any corporate clients who have guestrooms), training, and other sales-related meetings as required.
  • Prepare a Monthly Budget Reports.
  • Attend trade shows, local community events, and industry meetings as scheduled.
  • Assist with reports and competition data collection for GM & VP of Sales
  • Work closely with the Senior Management Team to identify and drive focused activities

Required Experience/Requirements:

  • Minimum five years, luxury hotel sales experience, previous experience as Director of Sales required.
  • Strong analytical skills to understand key business indicators and competitive trends and develop; analysis of STR report to implement tactics to gain market share.
  • Commitment to delivering a high level of customer service, focused on Forbes standards.
  • Strong leadership skills, positive attitude, and good oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks with excellent organizational skills
  • Knowledge of the local market and industry trends, competitors, and leading customer strategies
  • Excellent selling and communication skills
  • Ability to meet deadlines, work under pressure, and independently
  • Must be able to work evenings and weekends
