Controller Needed for Stable Successful Company
Our client is seeking an experienced Controller to join their thriving finance team. Reporting directly to the Chief Financial Officer, the Controller will manage day-to-day financial processes, month-end and year-end close procedures, and support special financial projects, ensuring adherence to GAAP and compliance requirements. Responsibilities of the Controller:
- Oversee all accounting operations, including Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, General Ledger, and Inventory Accounting.
- Ensure timely and accurate month-end and year-end close processes, preparing reconciliations and analyses.
- Prepare and submit monthly state and federal tax reports, including Sales/Use and Fuel Taxes.
- Conduct bank account reconciliations and prepare journal entries for accurate financial reporting.
- Perform inventory analysis, including shrink reporting, to maintain accurate inventory data.
- Act as a back-up for Accounts Receivable and support other financial roles as needed.
- Maintain compliance with accounting principles, implementing best practices to enhance the organization's financial health.
