Louisiana Region for Mill Visits


Reporting to the Regional Sales Manager, the goal of this position is to sell roll covers and bowed rolls to the industrial and/or paper manufacturing market.


Job Responsibilities:


  • Optimizes operating efficiencies of customers’ equipment utilizing proprietary modeling software programs.


  • Ensures trouble-free runs of roll covers and bowed rolls through proper selection of products to meet application needs and follow-up inspection services during machine down-days.


  • Works with customers to solve machine operating problems through innovative applications of roll covers, bowed rolls and services.


  • Develops strong inter-reliant relationships with customers through quality on-site service and social interaction.


  • Provides customer feedback to plants, research and sales management.


  • Manages the post-sale activities of an order to ensure timely deliveries of a quality product.


  • Mitigates warranty settlement costs while maintaining customer relationships and confidence in Stowe Woodward Mount Hope roll cover and bowed roll products.


  • Communicates field activity, including sales opportunities, inter-company items and competitive issues to the appropriate Regional Sales Manager.


  • Manages an expense budget within the guidelines provided.


  • Performs other job-related functions as assigned.


Job Requirements:


Degree preferred in Engineering or Business and/or extensive maintenance, production or sales experience within the paper or other related applicable industry. Requires excellent communication and interpersonal skills, a proven mechanical aptitude, and a strong entrepreneurial drive. Strong computer skills including solid understanding of Word, Excel and general database management. Extensive travel required within the assigned region.
