Position Overview

The Steel Superintendent is responsible for overseeing all steel erection operations on-site, ensuring that projects are executed safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards. This role involves managing teams, coordinating with various stakeholders, and delivering projects on time and within budget.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and manage steel erecting activities on construction sites.
• Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and subcontractors to ensure project specifications are met.
• Conduct regular site inspections to ensure safety compliance and quality control.
• Prepare and maintain project schedules, ensuring timely completion of tasks.
• Manage and mentor field personnel, promoting a culture of safety and efficiency.
• Ensure proper handling and storage of materials, including steel and miscellaneous metals.
• Troubleshoot issues on-site and implement solutions promptly.
  
  

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Steel Superintendent in the construction industry.
• Strong knowledge of steel erecting processes and safety protocols.
• Experience in steel fabrication and field management is a plus.
• Familiarity with rebar and miscellaneous metal work is desirable.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
