01 Advisors is a VC firm for operators, by operators. 01 Advisors invests in early growth-stage companies (Series B usually) across all sectors and is investing out of a Fund 3 with $395M. 01 Advisors is led by a team of former operators including Dick Costolo (former Twitter CEO), Adam Bain (former Twitter COO) and David Fischer (former Meta CRO). We rely on our experience as former operators to make a meaningful impact on our portfolio companies. We are seeking a highly-motivated investor to join our small team. The role requires maturity, flexibility, intellectual curiosity, and a proven track record of taking ideas and quickly turning them into action.
The Role
The investor will be a core part of our investment team and will evaluate and source new deals. The investor will also play an active role in supporting our firm operations and portfolio companies.
Requirements:
- 4+ years work experience, including at a venture capital firm, leading investment bank, private equity firm, or tech corporate development practice
- >1 year venture capital or similar investing experience
- Experience with financial modeling (operating model and P&L) and valuation analyses
- Awareness of the market and a perspective on potential investable market trends
- Excellent presentation and writing skills and ability to synthesize and large amounts of data into succinct written summaries and presentations
- Strong networking skills, with ability to source deals
- Ability to develop rapport with founders and other industry partners
- Operating experience at a startup or large tech company preferred

Primary Work:
- Due Diligence:
- Take a lead role in conducting due diligence on potential investments, including market research, competitive analysis, financial modeling, and technology evaluation.
- Prepare investment memos, presentations, and other documentation for internal and external stakeholders.
- Deal Sourcing:
- Actively source potential investment opportunities by conducting market research, attending industry events, and networking within the startup ecosystem.
- Screen and evaluate incoming business plans, pitch decks, and referrals from various sources.
- Develop a strong network to enhance deal flow and stay connected with industry developments.
- Research and Industry Analysis:
- Stay informed about industry trends, emerging technologies, and market dynamics relevant to the firm's focus areas.
- Conduct research to support investment theses and contribute to the development of the firm's knowledge base.
- Firm-Level Support:
- Assist where relevant on firm-level tasks.
