Litigation Associate

We are actively seeking to hire a litigation associate with at least 4 years of experience in general commercial, securities, business, and/or intellectual property litigation. A degree from a top-tier law school is required, as well as California bar membership. The candidate must be capable of working and learning independently. The ideal candidate will also have large-firm experience and subject-matter expertise in intellectual property litigation.

Grellas Shah LLP’s complex litigation practice spans the areas of general commercial litigation, intellectual property litigation, securities litigation, cross-border disputes, employment litigation, and international and domestic arbitration. The firm’s client base is mainly in the technology and financial services industries, but the firm also represents companies across a spectrum of industries in commercial litigation matters.

REQUIREMENTS:

JD from top-tier law school.

Ideal candidate will have 4 or more years of successful experience with a large firm, handling complex litigation. While not required, our preferred candidate would have a depth of experience in intellectual property litigation generally, and patent litigation in particular. Candidate should having a willingness to work on a broad range of litigation, however.

Strong analytical and writing skills.

Experience managing complex litigation, taking and defending depositions, arguing motions in state and federal court, drafting and opposing a range of motions, drafting and responding to discovery, ESI/electronic discovery.

Proactive, entrepreneurial and resourceful, with ability to effectively manage multiple priorities and deadlines.

Proven ability to develop strong client relationships and work effectively within a team-oriented environment.

Member of CA bar.
