Visionet is seeking an experienced Azure Data Architect to design and implement end-to-end data solutions on the Azure platform. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data architecture, modeling, Azure services, and data governance. They will collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into scalable and performant data solutions.


Responsibilities:


Architect Azure Data Solutions:

  • Design end-to-end data solutions on the Azure platform, encompassing data ingestion, storage, processing, and analytics.


Data Modeling:

  • Develop robust data models that support both transactional and analytical workloads, ensuring data integrity, scalability, and performance.


Azure Services Integration:

  • Utilize a variety of Azure data services such as Azure SQL Database, Azure Synapse Analytics, Azure Data Lake Storage, Azure Databricks, and Azure Analysis Services to build comprehensive data solutions.


Data Governance and Security:

  • Implement data governance best practices and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.


Performance Optimization:

  • Identify and address performance bottlenecks in data pipelines and queries to optimize system performance and reliability.


Collaboration:

  • Work closely with cross-functional teams including data engineers, data scientists, and business analysts to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.


Documentation and Training:

  • Document architecture designs, data flows, and technical specifications.
  • Provide training and support to internal teams on Azure data technologies and best practices.



Skill set requirements:


  • Proven experience as a Data Architect or similar role, with a focus on Azure data solutions.
  • Deep understanding of data modeling principles and methodologies.
  • Hands-on experience with Azure data services such as Azure SQL Database, Azure Synapse Analytics, Azure Data Lake Storage, Azure Databricks, and Azure Analysis Services.
  • Strong knowledge of data governance principles and regulatory requirements.
  • Proficiency in performance tuning and optimization techniques.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field; Master's degree preferred.
  • Relevant Azure certifications (e.g., Azure Data Engineer, Azure Solutions Architect) are a plus.
