  • This person is responsible for designing, analyzing, overseeing the assembly, and testing the final machine
  • Will utilize Autodesk Inventor (3D)
  • This person will also assist with tracking action items, customer requirements, and have a project schedule to adhere to
  • Will work with designers and other internal engineers to make sure design concepts are complete and will work
  • Will complete test runs and will help debug machines
  • May have customer communication during the duration of the project
  • Must have a working knowledge of cost effective manufacturing processes and methods, geometric tolerancing, machining, basic stress, and performance calculations
  • Travel is a very minor part of this job- technology has made travel obsolete for the most part

Required Skills (Must have):

  • Autodesk Inventor 3D is primarily used; other software’s are still okay (Solidworks, Creo, pro-E)
  • Bachelor’s or Associates degree in Engineering
  • Engineering drawing reading and interpretation
  • Understanding of Cost Effective Manufacturing Methods, Fixture Design and Application, Geometric Tolerancing, Lubrication of Metals, Manufacturing Processes/Methods, Stress & Performance Calculations, Design for Mfg/Assembly, F.M.E.A. (Design & Process), Risk Assessments, and Value Engineering
