Patient Access Representative – Check IN

LHH Recruitment Solutions Inc. is currently in search for several Patient Access Representatives to join a major Healthcare company in the Flint, MI market. Our selected candidates will start ASAP.

Responsibilities:

●  Greets and interacts with patients in a friendly and polite manner.

●  Provides solutions for customers; troubleshoots as needed.

◦  Will be assisting patients through check in process via kiosk machines, so need someone who can learn and navigate this technology and patiently assist customers through this process as well.

◦  Only check in process that is fully paper based is for the Orthopedic team.

●  Perform accurate data entry of patient information through Electronic Medical Record system (eClinicalWorks)

◦  Collect ID and insurance cards, scan ID cards, verify emergency contacts, preferred pharmacy locations, etc.

◦  Assist with completing documents related to auto insurance or worker’s comp as needed.

●  Maintain medical records and patient confidentiality.

●  Perform insurance verification.

●  Collect copays and outstanding balances.

●  Answer phone calls in a friendly and helpful manner

●  Register patients and schedule appointments.

●  Adheres to departments standards and PolicyStat policies.

Required Skills:

●  Strong data entry skills

●  Ability to multitask, strong attention to detail

●  Friendly, empathetic, respectful, patient

●  Not afraid to ask questions (the team expects there to be questions and would much prefer that someone speak up and ask for clarification on a process instead of assuming on their own)

Logistics:

●  This role is contract to hire.

●  Fully on-site at Flint HQ

●  We are looking to pay $17 per hour to start.
