KORE1, a nationwide provider of staffing and recruiting solutions, has an immediate opening for a Technical Writer: document .NET apps, APIs, EDI, Security, IT, databases, internal apps, etc.

Purpose of Position

Reporting to the Sr. Director, Technical Delivery, the Technical Writer is responsible for creating technical design documents, operating instructions, how-to manuals, technical support instructions, and 'frequently asked questions' content for technical staff, business analysts, support staff and other technical resources. The Technical Writer must be able to discuss, understand and document complex technical information including database design, data management, systems integration, application development and technology architecture. The Technical Writer is responsible for maintaining the consistency of technical content across departments, including application development, quality assurance, user testing, cyber security, business operations, sales, marketing, etc..

Essential Functions:

  • Write or revise technical documents for applications, systems integrations, and databases
  • Work closely with technical staff to understand the purpose and technical architecture of multiple systems
  • Maintain a strong knowledge of technical products and environments
  • Edit and enhance material prepared by technical architecture and development staff
  • Create or incorporate visual references (graphs, charts, flows, etc.) to increase document accuracy and usability
  • Elicit feedback to update and improve existing content
  • Builds industry knowledge and develops understanding of business divisions' organization and objectives.
  • Maintains an understanding of technical assets and strategic direction.
  • Collaborates to share lessons learned and best practices.
  • On-site or remote regular attendance and punctuality are essential functions of the job.
  • Performs other business tasks or functions as assigned.
