Reporting to the Knowledge Management Director, the successful candidate will closely collaborate with the firm's practice groups and administrative departments to advance our KM strategy via the effective design, implementation, and support of our newly launched intranet, and more generally our content management processes and collaboration technologies, to create better user experiences in support of the firm's continuous improvement efforts.


This role will also provide backup support for the other KM initiatives, such as experience management platforms, legal automation/automated document drafting solutions, extranet platforms, and other KM systems and platforms. Embracing a culture of service excellence, this role will focus on enhancing user experience and customer service alongside technical and operational responsibilities, ensuring the firm's intranet meets the business needs and is supported by robust data and content strategies.


Key Responsibilities:

§ Intranet Administration: Oversee the day-to-day administration of newly launched intranet, Connect 3.0, ensuring its functionality, user access, and security protocols, while serving as the primary support contact for the platform across the firm.

§ Content Management: Lead the curation and management of daily content for Connect 3.0, ensuring the intranet's content remains current, relevant, and organized according to firm standards. Collaborate with various content managers throughout the firm, assisting them in updating, managing, and archiving their content effectively. Offer strategic insights to refine the firm’s content strategy, managing the content lifecycle from creation through to archiving.

§ SharePoint Development: Leverage your SharePoint experience to optimize intranet functionality, managing workflows, custom lists, and libraries, while coordinating with external vendors and providing knowledgeable support for content-related SharePoint configurations and integrations. Provide SharePoint subject matter expertise to maintain knowledge management repositories including Standard Operating Procedure documents, calendars, checklists, workflows, and permissions.

§ User Support and Training: Develop and deliver comprehensive intranet training and support programs to enhance user engagement and adoption, including leading demos, presentations, trainings, and workshops related to the new intranet features. Create and own the library of support resources and governance documentation, including FAQs, training guides and videos, policies and procedures. Foster effective adoption of our KM systems and practices more generally across the firm.

§ Stakeholder Collaboration: Work with various departments to collect content requirements, steer content strategy, and ensure the intranet effectively supports firmwide KM initiatives.

§ Process Improvement: Continuously evaluate and enhance KM processes, implementing innovative solutions to streamline intranet functionality and user experience to increase the intranet’s value to the firm.

§ Analytics and Reporting: Harness analytics and reporting tools to monitor intranet usage and gather user feedback. Assess intranet engagement and functionality, providing actionable insights to drive continuous improvement and strategic decision-making for the firm's KM efforts.

§ Other KM Support: Support various knowledge management and innovation projects and platforms, collaborating with teams to analyze complex ideas and architect meaningful recommendations. Supporting ad-hoc projects and other KM systems, in particular those involving integration with SharePoint, to ensure cohesive and efficient knowledge sharing across the firm.


Essential Qualifications:

§ 5+ years of experience in intranet content management in a law firm, corporate legal department, or professional services/consulting environment.

§ Demonstrated expertise in SharePoint administration and development, with a strong understanding of best practices in content management and intranet design.

§ Enthusiasm for all forms of legal automation and technology solutions.

§ Ability to develop and deliver training programs, with a strong emphasis on user engagement and support.

§ Commitment to exceptional client service and dedication to high-quality work.

§ Exceptional communication and collaboration skills, able to build relationships across departments and with external partners.

§ Strong problem-solving, time management, and organizational skills to prioritize work and handle multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced, constantly evolving environment.

§ Ability to work independently and collaboratively, displaying sound judgment and initiative.


Preferred Qualifications (but not necessary):

§ Previous experience in the legal sector, such as roles as a paralegal or attorney, or in legal operations, knowledge management, pricing strategies, or legal project management, offering a deep understanding of the legal workflow and client service excellence.

§ Experience with content management, legal intelligence, or other relevant KM technologies and/or platforms, including Aderant Handshake, Foundation, HotDocs, iManage and CRM platforms.

§ Familiarity with change management principles and experience leading change initiatives related to technology adoption.

§ Experience with advanced data analysis and visualization tools, such as Power BI.

§ Knowledge of coding languages like HTML, for enhancing intranet pages and workflows.

§ Experience in managing user experience (UX) design projects to improve intranet interfaces and interactions.

§ Adaptable to the various working styles and processes across the firm.

§ Creative in the delivery of solutions.

§ Motivated by constant learning and desire to build something meaningful.
