New Opportunity - Top Biotech Client - Gaithersburg, MD - VP, Science & Discovery

Reporting to the Senior Vice President of Science & Discovery, the Vice President of Science & Discovery will be a seasoned scientific leader dedicated to discovering and developing breakthrough therapies that have the potential to transform clinical practice and significantly enhance outcomes for patients with cancer and autoimmune diseases.

This individual will be tasked with formulating discovery strategies, allocating resources, prioritizing activities and programs, and collaborating with other leaders within Science & Discovery to advance innovative development candidates.

Qualifications:

• Strong background in T cell signaling and T cell biology.
• PhD with over 15 years of experience in biotechnology and/or postdoctoral research focused on immunology and drug development in a leadership capacity.
• 10 years of experience leading and directly managing teams in industry.
• Recognized subject matter expert in immunology and T cell signaling, with a substantial publication record in the field.
• Demonstrated success in advancing novel immune therapeutics from initial concept to Investigational New Drug (IND) application.
• Leverage their expertise to identify and validate new drug candidates, address challenges, and facilitate efficient decision-making for all translational immunology projects, ranging from assay development to the clinical translation of immunology pipeline programs.
