We are seeking a skilled PHP Developer with extensive experience in the LAMP stack for a contract role based in Mooresville, NC. This position offers a hybrid work environment, blending remote work with on-site collaboration. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and maintaining web applications, ensuring their functionality, and optimizing them for performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain web applications using PHP and the LAMP stack.
- Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code.
- Create, optimize, and maintain MySQL databases.
- Ensure data integrity and optimal performance.
- Configure and manage Linux servers.
- Set up and maintain Apache web servers.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and implement solutions.
- Participate in code reviews and provide feedback to peers.
- Conduct testing to ensure code quality and functionality.
- Debug and resolve application issues and bugs.
- Document development processes, code changes, and configurations.
- Maintain technical documentation for reference.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is preferred.
- Proven experience as a PHP Developer with expertise in the LAMP stack.
- Experience with PHP frameworks such as Laravel or CodeIgniter is a plus.
- Proficient in PHP, MySQL, Apache, and Linux.
- Knowledge of front-end technologies such as HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
- Familiarity with version control systems like Git.
- Understanding of RESTful APIs and web services.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
