Business Transaction Lawyer

The business Transactional Lawyer provides legal advice and work product to a supervising attorney or client. In addition, this position:

  • Drafts all necessary legal documents relating to client’s business plan in a timely and consistent manner.
  • Meets with clients and counsels them on their business planning needs.
  • Strategizes re: business formations, asset sales and acquisitions, conversions and mergers, business succession planning, financing, dissolutions, and duties of owners.
  • Conducts legal research.
  • Interprets laws, rulings, and regulations for individuals and businesses. May confer with colleagues with specialty in certain areas for optimal client outcomes.

Qualifications:

  • Admitted to and active member of the IL State Bar Association
  • Minimum of two (2) years of experience in the practice of business transactions or Real estate or entity formation.
  • Ability to regularly delegate work to staff and work within a team environment.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, including the ability to understand, analyze, interpret and convey complex information and concepts.
  • Demonstrated record of excellent client service.
  • Sound organizational skills. Detail-oriented and capable of handling a high volume of work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Prioritize multiple tasks to meet critical deadlines.


Compensation:

Salary will be commensurate with experience and qualifications (Between 100K-150K). The firm also offers a competitive benefits package, including health insurance, retirement plans, and opportunities for professional development.
