Trace3 is assisting one of our clients in need of a System Engineer for long-term engagement in Centennial Colorado.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, deploy, and sustain AWS Cloud environments, encompassing AWS CloudFormation, Compute, Networking, Lambda, S3, FSx, EFS, IAM Roles, Policies, and VPN Services.
  • Enforce security fortification methods and adhere to STIG compliance across diverse systems like Windows, Linux, Networking, and Nessus.
  • Manage Windows and Linux systems (RHEL and SLES) to ensure robust availability and performance.
  • Oversee the Microsoft Active Directory infrastructure.
  • Perform configuration management using OSSEC and Ansible.
  • Establish and manage monitoring solutions, notably Datadog, including configuring and overseeing dashboards.
  • Govern virtual infrastructure using VMware ESXi and VMware vCenter.
  • Administer virus scan utilities like Cloud Virus Scan, ClamAV, and Sophos.
  • Supervise network management and configuration, encompassing IPSec and Cisco Networking.

Qualifications:

  • Proven track record in systems engineering, with a deep dive into AWS Cloud Services and Security Hardening.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in Windows & Linux (RHEL and SLES) Administration.
  • Strong grasp of Microsoft Active Directory and configuration management tools like OSSEC and Ansible.
  • Experience with monitoring tools such as Datadog/QRadar/Solarwinds.
  • Solid comprehension of virtual infrastructure, including VMware ESXi and vCenter.
  • Familiarity with virus scan utilities and network management configurations.

Preferred Skills:

  • Certifications in AWS, VMware, or relevant fields are a significant plus.
  • Knowledge of STIG and compliance measures is advantageous.
  • Ability to meticulously document processes and procedures.
