ICM is looking for an Offshore Environmental Health and Safety Specialist, with experience in the renewable energy sector, to work in offshore wind turbines.



DETAILS:


Location: Massachussets (Offshore)

Schedule: 3-week rotations

Duration: 6-12 months (with potential to be hired by the client after this period)

Additional info: Training and travel expenses are covered by the employer


Key Responsibilities:

  • Implement and monitor GE's EHS policies and project-specific EHS plans onboard vessels.
  • Oversee contractor performance, ensuring adherence to safety and environmental standards.
  • Report and investigate incidents, near-misses, and non-compliance, maintaining accurate records in GE’s systems.
  • Conduct site inspections, toolbox talks, and emergency response drills.
  • Ensure compliance with offshore safety programs, including LOTO (Lockout/Tagout).
  • Provide regular EHS performance updates, highlighting key metrics and observations.
  • Deliver safety briefings and training sessions to project personnel.


Requirements:


  • Certification: National Registry of EMTs or relevant State Paramedic Certification.
  • Technical Training: Electrical safety (NFPA 70E or equivalent), valid GWO BST modules (sea survival, work at height, manual handling, fire extinguisher), and HUET certification.
  • Medical Fitness: Valid offshore medical fitness assessment (OGUK, NOGEPA, NMA, or equivalent).
  • Other Credentials: Valid TWIC (Transportation Worker Identification Credential).
  • Experience: Familiarity with offshore environments and safety standards.
