POSITION SUMMARY
Responsibilities include administration of claims and loss control activities, maintain relationships with third-party service providers including brokers and insurers, recommending solutions, implementing approved programs day-to-day administrative duties and tasks as assigned. Additional responsibilities include Medical Evacuation coordination which consists of coordinating with internal stakeholders, medical evacuations providers and insurance carriers to assure employees are transported from to the highest level of medical care.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Report Defense Base Act claims to Department of Labor and insurance carriers, provide support and assistance to injured personnel, monitor claims, retain records, compile claim data into database and create quarterly reports
- Provide personnel files, wage records and other employment documentation to adjusters and defense counsel
- Support DBA discovery by providing supporting documentation as required by defense counsel
- Report Personal Accident claims to insurance carriers, provide support and assistance to injured personnel, monitor claims, retain records, compile claim data into database and create quarterly reports
- Conduct research for claim submission/coverage and mitigate/resolve litigation issues for claim-related matters
- Assist in facilitating medical evacuations by coordinating and liaising with program managers and assistance partners/providers
- Liaise with brokers, insurance carriers
- Assist department in administrative duties
- Conduct research and complete special projects as directed
- Other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's Degree in related field, preferred (or completion within 6 months)
- Minimum 1-3 years of experience
- Related experience in claims management preferred
- Experience in medical field preferred
- Must be proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Deltek experience preferred
- Effective oral and written communication skills with all levels of the organization
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage time and multiple priorities to completion
- Problem solving skills with an analytical thought process
- Ability to adapt to a rapidly changing environment

WORKING CONDITIONS
Work is virtual based from home. Business work hours are Thursday-Monday from 11:00 pm to 8:00 am, however some extended or weekend hours may be required.
