About the Role:

As a Project Development Engineer, you will play a crucial role in the planning, development, and execution of renewable energy and energy efficiency projects. You will be involved in all stages of the project lifecycle, from initial feasibility studies to commissioning, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within scope, and on budget.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the planning, design, and implementation of energy projects, ensuring alignment with company goals and regulatory requirements.
  • Conduct feasibility studies, site assessments, and energy audits to evaluate project potential.
  • Analyze existing building electrical systems to determine the feasibility of integrating solar, energy storage, EV charging, and LED lighting solutions.
  • Utilize modeling software to simulate energy performance and optimize system designs.
  • Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams (engineering, finance, operations, sales) to ensure successful project execution.
  • Engage with stakeholders (clients, engineering firms, contractors, local authorities, utilities) to gather requirements and secure necessary approvals.
  • Stay abreast of industry regulations, incentives, and standards to ensure project compliance.
  • Support the preparation and submission of permits and utility interconnection applications.
  • Maintain meticulous records of the project development process and outcomes.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in renewable energy, engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 3-5 years of experience in renewable energy or energy project development, or a related engineering field.
  • In-depth understanding of renewable energy technologies and energy efficiency best practices.
  • Strong financial acumen, including experience managing project budgets.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple complex projects simultaneously and prioritize tasks effectively.


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Familiarity with electrical and structural principles relevant to renewable energy and energy efficiency projects.
  • NABCEP, Professional Engineer (PE) license, Certified Energy Manager (CEM), or other relevant certifications.
  • Knowledge of financial analysis techniques for energy projects.
