Industrial Electrician

Axios Professional Recruitment is partnered with a manufacturing company in Kentwood, MI who is looking to direct hire a Journeyman Electrician on 1st shift. We are willing to consider candidates who are close to obtaining their journeyman’s card (this is a case-by-case basis) for candidates who are ready to test.

Industrial Electrician Requirements

• Schedule and contact vendors for any necessary machine PM's.
• Ability to diagnose, troubleshoot and perform maintenance of machines as needed.
• Ability to perform minor electrical work helpful.
• Document any and all service performed on machine per ISO 9001 requirements.
• Order items needed for projects and repairs.
• Purchase necessary items with credit card or use of P.O. for major purchases.
• Provide guidance and support for 5S Coordinator/Utility Personnel.
• Assist in creating annual budget for equipment, and necessary replacement parts, etc.
• Recommend methods for improving utilization of personnel, material, and utilities.
• Confer with suppliers, staff and management personnel regarding purchases, procedures, product specifications and manufacturing capabilities.
• Follow and enforce procedures written in Employee Handbook.
• Ability to organize and keep a clean maintenance dept.
• Oversee all building maintenance requirements.
• Other duties as assigned

Industrial Electrician Qualifications

• Valid journeyman’s license or ready to test
• GED/High School Diploma or equivalent
• Knowledge of ISO 9001 documentation practices
