What are we looking for in our Sr. Financial Reporting Analyst?

Our client, a well-known global client, is seeking a Senior Financial Reporting Analyst on a remote basis.

Location: 100% Remote

Pay: $95 - $105 per hour DOE

1+ Months Contract with extensions

The Enterprise Reporting team is responsible for The Walt Disney Company’s 10K/10Q filing process and other SEC and non-SEC financial statement deliverables for various reporting requirements. This team also prepares analyses for internal reporting requirements, including balance sheet, income statement, and cash flow analyses for the Company’s two distinct business segments. In responding to executives, analysts or press inquiries concerning the Company, there is significant interaction between Enterprise Reporting and several key corporate departments, including Investor Relations, Corporate Communications, Financial Planning and Analysis, Treasury, and the office of the CFO. This position offers multiple opportunities to showcase analytical skills.

A strong financial reporting background is a must. Entertainment industry experience preferred.

  • Consolidate and analyze quarterly enterprise representation letter segment submissions.
    • Preparation of quarterly agenda to discuss new disclosures with auditors and controller.
    • Assist with preparation and review of the press release, 10K & 10Q reports and Proxy Statement.
    • Assist with preparation of Income Statement deliverables.
    • Preparation and analysis of various financial statement footnote disclosures including disclosures for revenue recognition footnote.
    • Prepare quarterly and annual government reports and ensure timely submission thereof to various government agencies.
    • Support Enterprise Reporting and enterprise-wide financial reporting process improvement initiatives, including centralizing and automating enterprise-wide government reporting process.
    • Lead/execute various ad hoc analyses.
