Job Description

Education Requirement:

• High School Diploma or Equivalent


Preferred Education:

• Associate's degree in business, Finance, Accounting, Statistics or related field or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience

• Bachelor's degree preferred or an equivalent combination of education and job-related experience equal to 0 - 3 years in the field of analysis


Required Skills/Attributes:

• Experience in administrative role

• Experience with customer service, computer software, on-line applications, office equipment, and filing systems

• Work order package splitting and preparation for construction and inspection

• Provides information and support to the District and Hub, as needed


Desired Skills/Attributes

• Knowledge of department policies, practices, and procedures


The Business Analyst must possess the demonstrated ability to perform basic quantitative analysis with the ability to gather, document, analyze data and information. Improves and supports business activities of assigned department through analysis of objectives, goals and customer needs. Plans and executes a course of action based on sound business decisions, and works to effectively identify potential cost-saving opportunities.


Business Analyst Responsibilities:

• Meter Service Requests (MSR) management including, posting and documenting inspections, customer applications

• Pre-set meter management

• MSR exception management

• Meter/MSR related reporting (SLA, Public Authority)

• Gathers documents and research data on assigned topics, using databases, files, spreadsheets, or other sources as needed

• Deals regularly with information and issues having a minor to moderate department and/or corporate impact
