Job Summary: As an IT Business Systems Analyst, you will serve as a liaison for assigned business areas, providing consultative guidance to achieve business objectives through technology solutions. You will analyze business needs, design technical requirements, and identify impacted areas/systems/processes to evaluate alternative solutions. Job Summary: As an IT Business Systems Analyst, you will serve as a liaison for assigned business areas, providing consultative guidance to achieve business objectives through technology solutions. You will analyze business needs, design technical requirements, and identify impacted areas/systems/processes to evaluate alternative solutions. Responsibilities include developing, documenting, testing, or supporting modifications of computer programs and/or systems, preparing detailed system requirements, and assisting in functional design solutions for new products/functionality and enhancements to existing products/functionality. Additionally, you will provide oversight and final review of design specifications, lead a systematic process for capturing requirements, and develop test scenarios & test cases. This role requires a strong understanding of SDLC processes, adherence to practices, standards, policies, and procedures, and the ability to build consensus and relationships between business and IT teams.


Required Education/Experience:

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 3-5 years of experience in application development, testing, and/or business/systems analysis role
  • Strong communication and presentation skills
  • Proficiency in Excel spreadsheets (managing, data mapping, rules, comparisons, etc.)
  • Familiarity with Agile methodologies (Waterfall nice to have)
  • Technical experience using MS Visio
  • Experience with SQL server queries (basic to advanced)
  • Basic understanding of MongoDB and/or Postgres required


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Ability to write simple to complex SQL queries
  • Experience in application development, testing, and/or business/systems analysis role
  • Various domain experience; Health Care, Financial, etc.
  • Experience using Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid methodology
  • Specific tools, languages, and specialty skills may vary


Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, document, test, or support modification of computer programs and/or systems
  • Prepare detailed system requirements and assist in functional design solutions
  • Provide oversight and final review of design specifications
  • Lead a systematic process for capturing requirements
  • Develop test scenarios & test cases
  • Prepare technical documentation and deliverables
  • Ensure adherence to practices, standards, policies, and procedures
  • Develop and document vetted contingency plans in case of risks or roadblocks
  • Other duties as assigned
