About the Role:

The A List is seeking a highly effective, collaborative and seasoned Director in Showroom and Talent Relations. This is a great opportunity to join a fast-growing team and make a positive impact within the company.


The role is responsible for overseeing and managing multiple accounts, strategy, budgets, showroom appointments and building relationships with celebrities, stylists, influencers, tastemakers and key opinion leaders with the goal of building the brands at The A List in creative ways. The person should be an experienced thought leader in the VIP space, manage a team and be able to work across many categories including but not limited to fashion, beauty, tech, health and wellness.


Roles + Responsibilities:

  • Provide leadership and management for account teams and brand clients with the ability to communicate strategy to the respective channels and stakeholders
  • Partner with VP and Senior Directors to ensure all client needs are delivered efficiently and correctly
  • Provide a strategic POV on showroom and all client communication channels including but not limited to email, weekly/bi-weekly calls, in-person meetings, etc.
  • Provide day-to-day supervision and/or lead client initiatives
  • Align expectations to monitor and track team’s workstream and bandwidth
  • Identify and suggest team’s developmental needs
  • Provide ongoing performance feedback and empower team members
  • Lead development of proposal/deck presentations/budgets/billable hours
  • Project manage client initiatives from inception to execution across seedings, events, collaborations, mailers
  • Work cross-functionally to execute project needs
  • Curate, outreach and facilitate talent related needs such as list building, appointments, gifting, etc.
  • Manage client billing, contracts, financial reports as needed
  • Build relationships up through our client organization at senior levels
  • Work with leadership and management to contribute ideas and new approaches to win new business
  • Assist in Showroom as needed – physical tasks may include unpacking or packing shipments, organizing backstock, managing showroom floor, etc.


Requirements:

  • 8-10 years of experience in Celebrity Experiential Marketing and (5+ years as a leader) with experience managing a team, leading growth businesses that are brand focused
  • Must have a roster of direct relationships across celebrity, stylists, influencers, management, key opinion leaders and tastemakers
  • Must have agency experience
  • Exceptional strategic and analytical skills
  • Highly effective communicator (oral and written) with experience working cross-functionally across various goals and projects
  • Data/insights driven in order to make decisions
  • Ability to design and scale processes across programs, projects and multiple work-streams
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, PR or related field preferred
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to juggle multiple projects at the same time and meet time-sensitive deadlines
  • Effective leader and manager with the ability to mentor and motivate direct reports to perform at their highest potential
