Payroll Tester

Large Telecomm Client

Hybrid 2-3x/week onsite in Charlotte NC

9+ month contract

On a W2 basis ONLY (no corp to corp or 1099)

Pay: $20-$28hr W2


Requirements:

1. Experience/ basic knowledge of payroll processing

2. Someone with HCM Application experience (Oracle or Peoplesoft preferred)

3. Understanding of Payroll Testing (Understands test scripts)

4. Excel - v look up, concatenate, distinct keys, pivot tables


Pluses: Plus if they know Oracle


Description of project:

  • Comparing data/finding anomalies
  • Data validation - Physically looking in PS, seeing how something translates over in oracle
  • Personal tax withholding, are they single with no exemptions - are they that in oracle, did it translate properly
  • Testing will be in oracle
  • My team will train other users


This larger organization began an implementation of Oracle from PeopleSoft as their human capital management (HCM) system several months ago. This role is within a payroll team and they have recently been tasked with UAT testing and data validation to ensure accuracy of what is converted from PeopleSoft to Oracle. The role will include comparing data and finding anomalies as well as physically looking into PeopleSoft to learn how a specific task, report or output translates over into Oracle. From there, the person will be responsible for verifying the proper data flow into Oracle. All UAT testing will be done in Oracle. Since the organization will be rolling an entire new platform enterprise-wide, this person should expect to help train other users.
