The Product Photographer & Videographer will be responsible for ideating, producing, and executing photography and video content that brings our brand campaigns to life across social, ecommerce, retail and beyond. The ideal candidate will have experience capturing detailed product shots as well as lifestyle, in and out of studio, with and without talent. This role requires a high degree of craft and technical expertise, along with the creativity and a passion to deliver imagery that brings the brand to life.


RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:


Creative Ideation, Conception, and Execution

  • Help ideate and develop ideas in response to Creative Brief for product launches and brand initiatives.
  • Conceptualize, produce, and execute original photography and video content that aligns with brand campaign objectives.
  • Bring campaign stories to life through social media video content across platforms such as Facebook, TikTok, Instagram, Pinterest, and YouTube.
  • Develop and execute content that excites, resonates, and engages our core audience across various channels and formats.
  • Perform in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment while maintaining a creative, detail-oriented focus.


Set and Styling:

  • Lead in-house and on-location photo shoots, including assembling sets, styling props, managing lighting with off-camera strobes, and coordinating models (scheduling, instructing, and directing).
  • Create photography and videography that align with brand messaging, evoke emotional storytelling, and enhance audience engagement.
  • Focus on product styling to ensure the correct product attributes are highlighted and align with brand aesthetics.


On Set Production

  • Collaborate with the Creative Director and team to set up and photograph products.
  • Maintain a focus on product styling to showcase its best features and align with brand aesthetics.
  • Produce merchandising assets, including flat lays, color combinations, and packaging shots, following approved concepts.
  • Prepare and shoot products from multiple angles using studio lighting, ensuring consistency in lighting, color treatment, and presentation across shoots.


Equipment & Asset Management

  • Maintain proper image naming conventions and perform daily backups of all photo shoots.
  • Oversee the maintenance of studio gear, props, and sets, with the ability to lift up to 50 lbs. regularly.
  • Adapt quickly to impromptu photo requests.
  • Manage and update the photo queue, overseeing the process from start to finish, including sample preparation.


Post-Production Workflows:

  • Manage post-production workflows, including batch editing, organizing assets, and ensuring consistent file management practices are followed.


REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:


Education and/or Experience:

  • 5-7 years of experience working as an in-house product/lifestyle photographer or freelance product/lifestyle photographer.
  • 5-7 years of experience with product video production, editing and development
  • Extensive experience with photo retouching
  • A dynamic rich portfolio representing your skills.
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in photography or similar creative/design field.
  • Combination of experience and education that would provide the required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities.
  • Excellent production skills with the ability to pull in the appropriate assets needed.
  • Collaborative, with the ability to concept fresh ideas that remain on brand.


Skills

  • Expert proficiency in Canon/DSLR camera systems.
  • Expert proficiency in off-camera flash lighting for products.
  • Advanced knowledge of tabletop product photography.
  • Advanced knowledge of lifestyle and location photography.
  • Advanced knowledge of filming and editing videos for social media.
  • High-level proficiency in tethered capture software.
  • Expert knowledge of Adobe Photoshop, Lightroom and Premier Pro.
  • Excellent communication skills and a teamwork mentality to collaborate with the internal design team to show-case product features while maintaining high receptivity to feedback.
  • Ability to multitask effectively, organize workflows, remain flexible in dynamic situations, and follow established processes while providing suggestions for improvements to enhance workflow efficiency and productivity.
  • Be able to work under tight deadlines. Juggle multiple shoots at one time.
  • Exceptional organizational skills
  • A keen eye for picking models, talent, and locations.


Extras

  • Experience with social media content creation for Facebook, Instagram, Pinterest, TikTok, Youtube.
  • Experience with Media Valet or any DAM software
  • Graphic Design awareness.
