Title: Sr. Software Engineer

Location: Boston or Needham, MA

Duration: 12+ months

Client: Financial firm

Type: Direct Hire/Full Time


Responsibilities:

  • Lead the delivery of high-quality business solutions, including participating in architecture, design, implementation, testing, deployment, and support
  • Be a thought partner to Data Experience folks/Business analysts as they work with our business partners
  • Work closely with business analysts and support them with technical solutions to meet their requirements
  • Work with business teams, project managers, and systems analysts to review and qualify business requirements, functional specifications, use-cases, and test plans
  • Design, prototype and code new software components and applications based on functional specifications across the full stack – services, web and mobile clients, infrastructure, and back-end
  • Coordinate with analyst teams and vendors to execute test plans and provide support during user acceptance testing
  • Modify and enhance existing systems to incorporate new functionality and to optimize them for performance
  • Author technical design and support documentation


Qualifications:

  • 7+ years of demonstrated experience designing and developing applications and services using Java version 11 or higher
  • Other relevant enterprise technologies like Spring, Springboot3, etc.
  • Experience developing applications with cloud technologies such as AWS desired
  • Experience using Jenkins and GIT
  • Exposure to graphiql, pub/sub using Kafka is not required, but a plus
  • Familiarity with designing and developing complex web services using REST, JavaScript/NodeJS, Java, and related technologies
  • Familiarity with developing web applications using HTML5, CSS, and modern UI frameworks such as Angular and React
