Technical Business Analyst

CEIs client has been named to Fortune's Top 100 Places to Work for 9 years running, and they have been operating convivence stores across America for over 70 years. Their team based in PA is adding a Technical Business Analyst to assist with requirements elicitation for an ERP Migration Project.


  • 6 month contract with potential for extension and permanent conversion
  • Mostly remote role (quarterly meetings in PA)


Responsibilities:


  • Elicit the requirements from various sources, such as stakeholders, users, documents, existing systems, or market research. Eliciting requirements involves asking the right questions, listening actively, observing behaviors, and facilitating workshops or interviews.
  • Requirements Gathering: Collaborate with stakeholders (internal and external) to identify and gather business needs through interviews, workshops, surveys, and document reviews.
  • Business Process Analysis: Analyze and model current business processes to identify inefficiencies or opportunities for improvement.
  • Analyze the requirements and ensure that they are clear, consistent, complete, feasible, and testable. Analyzing requirements involves breaking down complex problems, identifying dependencies and constraints, resolving conflicts, and prioritizing needs.
  • Gap Analysis: Perform gap analysis between current state and desired state to identify necessary changes.
  • Requirements Validation: Work with stakeholders to validate and prioritize requirements based on business value and feasibility.
  • Validate the requirements and ensure that they meet the expectations and needs of the stakeholders and users. Validating requirements involves reviewing, verifying, and getting official sign off with the relevant parties.
  • Requirements Documentation: Create and maintain comprehensive documentation, including functional and non-functional requirements, use cases, user stories, process flows, and other related artifacts.


Requirements:


  • Must have ERP system implementation or migration experience as a BA gathering and refining technical requirements.
  • Preferred - Experience with MS Dynamics or Dynamics 365
  • Preferred – Certified Business Analysis Professional
  • Preferred – PMI Professional in Business Analysis
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, Information Systems, or a related field.
