We are currently seeking a dynamic and innovative CAD Engineer specializing in Millwork for our growing Manufacturing team. This role is ideal for an individual who is passionate about design, has a keen eye for detail, and is proficient in the use of CAD/CAM, Woodcad, and other relevant software. As a CAD Engineer, you will utilize your skills to create detailed technical drawings for millwork projects, including cabinets, counters, and other woodwork. If you are a dedicated professional with a strong background in engineering, design, drafting, and woodwork, we would love to hear from you.

Responsibilities:

1. Develop and design detailed technical drawings and plans for millwork projects using CAD/CAM, Woodcad, and other software.
2. Collaborate with the design team to transform initial sketches and concepts into detailed blueprints.
3. Ensure all drawings and designs adhere to the standards set by the Architectural Woodwork Institute (AWI).
4. Conduct regular design reviews and make necessary adjustments to meet project requirements.
5. Ensure that all designs are fully compliant with industry standards and regulations.
6. Coordinate with the production team to ensure designs are accurately realized, providing guidance on CNC operations as necessary.
7. Troubleshoot and resolve any issues that may arise during the design or manufacturing process.
8. Continually stay updated with the latest trends and advancements in CAD technology and millwork design.

Qualifications:

1. Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Design, Drafting, or a related field.
2. Minimum of 5 years of experience in CAD Engineering, specifically within the Millwork sector.
3. Proficiency in CAD/CAM, Woodcad, and other relevant software.
4. Extensive knowledge and experience in casework, woodwork, and other millwork projects.
5. Familiarity with CNC operations and the ability to guide the production team effectively.
6. Strong understanding of the standards set by the Architectural Woodwork Institute (AWI).
7. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with both the design and production teams.
8. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot issues effectively.
9. Detail-oriented with a strong focus on accuracy and quality in all work.
10. Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting strict deadlines.
11. A strong portfolio showcasing previous millwork projects will be highly advantageous.
