Protecnium is an international consulting firm specializing in engineering and technician services (www.protecnium.com/en). We are currently looking for a Procurement Specialist to join our team for a construction project.


-Project: Photovoltaic Plant


-Estimated duration of the position: 5 years - In general, when the project ends, we try to place the employee in other projects to give him/her continuity.


-Main Responsibilities:


  • Procurement Management: responsible for acquiring all materials, equipment, and services necessary for the development of the photovoltaic project, including but not limited to solar panels, inverters, electrical materials, and construction equipment.


  • Negotiation with Suppliers: negotiate prices, delivery timelines, payment terms, and other contractual conditions with material and service suppliers to optimize costs while ensuring product quality and availability.


  • Supplier Evaluation: research and select the most suitable suppliers, evaluating their quality, costs, reliability, and ability to meet the project’s technical and operational requirements.


  • Inventory Control: oversee inventory management to ensure that necessary materials are available at the right place and time, avoiding delays in the project’s progress.


  • Regulatory Compliance: ensure that all procurement activities comply with applicable local, national, and international regulations, as well as the company’s internal policies, ensuring adherence to environmental and safety standards.


  • Supplier Performance Monitoring: continuously monitor supplier performance and take corrective actions when necessary to ensure compliance with agreed-upon quality, delivery timelines, and pricing.


  • Contract Management: assist in the drafting, review, and management of contracts with suppliers, ensuring that the terms and conditions are fulfilled as agreed and managing any modifications or renewals as needed.


  • Cost Management: work closely with the finance team to ensure that procurement activities and the project budget remain within the established limits, optimizing costs and minimizing the risk of cost overruns.



-Working hours: Monday to Friday: 40 hours weekly.


-Requirements:


  • A minimum of 4 years experience as a Procurement Specialist in Photovoltaic Plant projects or similar.
  • Bachelor Degree in Industrial/Civil Engineering or related.
