Position Overview:

As a Site Civil Project Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing civil engineering projects from concept through completion. You will coordinate with a team of engineers, designers, and contractors to ensure that projects are delivered on time, within budget, and meet all safety, quality, and client expectations. This role requires strong leadership, technical expertise, and project management skills to deliver exceptional results on a variety of commercial, residential, industrial and municipal projects.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Project Management: Lead site civil projects from pre-design to project completion, ensuring that the scope, schedule, budget, and quality standards are met.
  • Client Liaison: Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, maintaining strong relationships and ensuring customer satisfaction. Manage client expectations and deliverables throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Team Leadership: Manage and mentor a team of engineers, designers, and support staff, ensuring smooth collaboration and communication.
  • Design and Engineering: Oversee the design and development of site plans, grading, drainage, utilities, and other civil elements, ensuring compliance with applicable codes and regulations.
  • Permitting and Compliance: Ensure all necessary permits and approvals are obtained and that projects comply with local, state, and federal regulations.
  • Budget and Cost Management: Develop and manage project budgets, monitor costs, and implement strategies to control expenses and improve project profitability.
  • Risk Management: Identify potential project risks, develop mitigation strategies, and monitor their resolution.
  • Quality Control: Maintain quality assurance processes throughout the project, ensuring all work is completed to the highest standards.
  • Reporting and Documentation: Prepare and present regular project updates to clients, senior management, and other stakeholders. Maintain detailed project documentation.


Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field. Professional Engineer (PE) license is preferred.
  • Experience: 5+ years of experience in civil engineering project management with a focus on land development.


Skills:

  • Strong understanding of civil engineering principles, design, and construction practices.
  • Proven experience managing multiple projects simultaneously and leading diverse teams.
  • Proficient in project management software, AutoCAD Civil 3D, and other engineering tools.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present technical information to clients and stakeholders.
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • Knowledge of local building codes, zoning laws, and environmental regulations.
