Job Details
We are looking for a talented and enthusiastic Mechanical Designer to join our dynamic manufacturing team. This is a permanent position that offers the opportunity to work on exciting projects, utilizing cutting-edge technologies to design and develop innovative mechanical systems. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mechanical design, with specific expertise in 3D modeling. You will be part of a collaborative team, working closely with engineers, product managers and other designers to create products that meet our high standards of quality, functionality and design.
Responsibilities:
1. Utilize 3D modeling software to design and develop mechanical systems and components for our manufacturing processes.
2. Collaborate with engineers and product managers to understand design requirements and specifications.
3. Conduct feasibility studies and simulations to validate design concepts.
4. Create detailed design drawings, specifications and technical documents for manufacturing and assembly.
5. Participate in design review sessions to ensure that designs meet functional and performance specifications.
6. Develop innovative design solutions to improve product performance and manufacturing efficiency.
7. Work closely with the production team to resolve design-related issues during the manufacturing process.
8. Stay updated on the latest industry trends, technologies and materials to enhance design capabilities and product quality.
Qualifications:
1. Associates degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field. (Experience in lieu of education)
2. Minimum of 2 years of experience in mechanical design, preferably in the manufacturing industry.
3. Proficiency in 3D modeling software, such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks or equivalent.
4. Strong understanding of mechanical systems, manufacturing processes and materials.
5. Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to identify and resolve design issues.
6. Strong attention to detail and the ability to create accurate, high-quality design documents.
7. Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with engineers, product managers and production staff.
8. Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
9. Self-motivated with a strong desire to stay updated on the latest design trends and technologies.
