We are looking for a Junior Automation Engineer in Mills River. As a junior automation electrical engineer, your role involves supporting the design, development, and implementation of electrical systems within automated processes. You will work closely with automation technicians and electrical engineers to solve complex problems while learning skills required to become an engineer.

What you will do:

  • Design and Development: Assist in the design and development of electrical systems for automated processes, including PLC (Programmable Logic Controller) systems, motor controls, electrification and instrumentation.
  • Testing and Troubleshooting: Conduct testing and troubleshooting of electrical systems to ensure proper functionality and performance. Identify and resolve issues during the troubleshooting phase. Implement repairs or changes that address the issue.
  • Documentation: Create and maintain detailed documentation related to electrical designs, including schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical specifications.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including mechanical engineers, other automation engineers, and project managers, to integrate electrical systems into overall automation solutions.
  • Commissioning: Participate in the commissioning process of automation systems, including installation, configuration, and startup of electrical components.
  • Continuous Improvement: Contribute to continuous improvement efforts by identifying opportunities to enhance the performance, reliability, and efficiency of electrical systems.
  • Compliance: Ensure compliance with relevant industry standards, codes, and regulations governing electrical systems and automation technologies.
