The Role

We are seeking a Principal Full-Stack Software Engineer with experience and passion for building high-quality software applications. You will be a key contributor on an Agile squad focused on developing industry leading integration solutions in HR/Payroll area. You will play a key role in the development and operationalization of capabilities that are important to the future business strategy in emerging domains. These modern product offerings will enable our clients and partners to seamlessly integrate with our services. In this role, you will be working closely with business partners, architects, and tech leads to design, code, unit-test new applications.

You are committed to developing your own expertise and knowledge to bring the latest thinking to this role as well as empower others with that knowledge. You are also expected to work closely with Architecture and business teams to ensure alignment with the product and architecture roadmap to assure success.

\u00A0The Expertise You Bring

  • Bachelor s or master s degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science, Engineering, or another related field.
  • 10+ years of technical leadership and hands-on software development experience.
  • Proven track record of leading, mentoring, and developing engineers with varying experience and tenure.
  • Good understanding of WS product offerings, and their integration techniques across different record keepers is highly desirable.
  • Expert knowledge of Object-Oriented Programing (Programming experience is preferred with Python, Java desired)
  • Hands-on experience in implementing API based solutions with JAVA Spring boot
  • Expert knowledge in data modelling, database design/development in multiple database platforms and ETL tools
  • Deep expertise in designing metadata driven end to end systems/solutions to achieve highly configurable products to quickly enter new markets
  • Excellent understanding of cloud-computing; specifically hands-on expertise with public cloud platforms like AWS or Azure required.
  • Passionate about engineering excellence, DevOps maturity and test-driven iterative development methodologies.
  • Proven leadership and collaborator influencing skills through empowerment of individuals/teams, innovation, and collaboration - someone who s eager to learn and teach every day.
  • Comfortable presenting/ communicating ideas and solutions with collaborators from all parts of the organization, including senior leadership.
  • Strong influencing and negotiation skill; proven ability to successfully operate in a matrix organization
  • Bring a data driven & collaborative approach to decision making, both in day-to-day tasks and while making strategic trade-offs.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain industry-leading software engineering products/solutions to support the Employer Servicing and Integration Product area squads and the broader domain.
  • Successfully drive complex technology solutions across multiple squads and initiatives to meet business goals.
  • Ensure clarity in requirements, architecture, and design by working across large number of collaborators. \u00A0
  • Sharing knowledge and expertise within and outside of the chapter and squads- ensuring how the work is performed by the team is aligned with established road maps and guardrails.
  • Champion good engineering practices and establish new standards as and when needed.

The Team

HR & Payroll Integration teams will be working closely with several external payroll vendors and integrate with them to get a true 360 data integration via APIs/ files. In addition to playing a leading this integration work the candidate may also participate in other key modernization initiatives.
