Job Description:

The Commercial Glazing Superintendent leads the field installation and shop fabrication of commercial glazing projects. The superintendent will work with estimators, project managers, field foremen, fabrication workers, and client representatives to bring projects in on time and on budget.


Responsibilities:

  • Lead operations in storefronts, curtainwall, and windows. New construction and renovations, exterior and interior.
  • Will direct and assist in field measurements
  • Will direct metal framing fabrication personnel
  • Will manage, monitor, and review multiple crews in framing and glazing installation.
  • Will lead multiple crews in safety effort
  • Will monitor, perform, and ensure quality control
  • Will coordinate with crews, foremen, project managers, and general contractors
  • Will be responsible for production through completion.
  • Will be responsible for overall success of multiple glazing projects.
  • Will coordinate with other trades.
  • Will troubleshoot problems and issues on projects.
  • Will schedule manpower to accomplish workload.
  • Will also perform these duties with our subcontractors.


Work Environment:

We are currently physically work in place; no remote is available for this position.


Job Requirements include:

  • The Glazing Superintendent is a key employee in the organization who must have 6+ years experience in fabrication and installation of commercial glass systems (curtainwall, storefront, punched windows). Ideally, the Superintendent will have experience as both a field foreman and a superintendent.
  • You should be a hard worker and dedicated.
  • You should be able to lead multiple crews.
  • You should be able to mentor foremen.
  • You should be able to take a project from plans to completion on time and on budget.
  • You should have people skills that allow you to work successfully with crews, peers, supervisors, and clients.
  • You should be detail oriented with trade skills that consistently produce a complete quality product.
