Pharmacy Technician (In-Patient)

Location: Glenview, IL area

Schedule: Full Time Nights

We are seeking professional and skilled Pharmacy Technicians, with CURRENT or PRIOR hospital experience for a 3 month temp contract, with a possibility of an extension, at one of our inpatient pharmacies.

The ideal inpatient Pharmacy Technician candidate, is required to have experience with Epic and Pyxis, have an active IL license.

Qualifications:

• Working within a hospital setting
• Pyxis and Epic knowledge
• Illinois Pharmacy Technician license in good standing
• Sterile IV compounding experience is a big plus

Pharmacy Tech Responsibilities:

• Knowing how to refill, inventory, outdate and return meds in Pyxis machines
• Refill crash cart trays with KitCheck
• Pulling meds from Med Carousel for stock outs and missing meds
• Delivery of medication to nursing stations and Pyxis machines
• Triage phone calls; working with a team or independently to fill patient medication orders
• Filling and Tubing medication throughout hospital
• Epic label re-dispensing and messages
• Repackaging bulk medications
