Summary
Trailer Bridge is looking for energetic, talented, self-motivated go-getter to join our growing team in this junior, entry-level position. As an EEI (Electronic Export Information) Filing Coordinator, you will have the opportunity to develop a successful and energetic career and be given the tools and training to “Make it Happen”, you will be responsible for obtaining, reviewing and verifying shipment documents, electronically filing all export shipments with AES/ U.S. Customs and Border Protection, as well as other general office, carrier, and administrative activities. We are excited and ready to bring new members on the team who are eager to learn and are passionate about their personal growth, while making TB the customer’s first choice.
Essential Functions:
- Reviewing and verifying shipment documents and files EEI’s daily.
- Responsible for verifying documents in order to file Electronic Exports, ensures all proper documentation is received before filing deadlines, files Electronic Export Information in a timely fashion (according to cut off times)
- Electronically files accurate and true information to AES, US Customers and Border Protection and adheres to Foreign Trade Regulations.
- Ensuring all shipment paperwork is legible and matches open shipments.
- Tracking all bookings missing an Internal Transaction Number (ITN)
- File all bookings in a timely manner before barge arrival and in some cases before barge departure.
- Utilizing Daily Communication to obtain paperwork while maintaining relationships with our account management team.
- Grasping key concepts of our Ocean side operations and approach to personal Customer Service.
- Handles other duties as assigned by the Manager, Team lead, Supervisor, or Controller.
- Other duties as assigned.
Additional Duties & Responsibilities:
- Handles other duties as assigned by the Supervisor or Director.
- Follows written procedures as documented in the Trailer Bridge ISO 9001:2000 quality processes.
- Maintains Administration Department Standards of Excellence.
- Upholds company policies.
Qualifications
- 1-2 years of general office experience, administrative support/documentation experience preferred.
- High school diploma; some college a plus.
- PC and data entry skills including Excel as well as other specialized software programs.
- High attention to detail.
- High degree of accuracy.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills and strong interpersonal skills.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Very good customer service skills
- Ability to handle multiple priorities and meet deadlines
