Our client is looking for a Software Engineer to design and build full-stack. The ideal candidate has a knack for teasing out product requirements in a fast-paced start-up environment. This is an opportunity to develop and deploy systems from cloud-native services through IoT devices and user interfaces.


Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain full-stack production code. Drive decisions, lead development, and maintain software applications across the whole stack. Build and perform data collection and analysis. Deliver real-world software from the ground up in a fast-paced, quickly changing environment.


Qualifications

  • Demonstrated ability to ship code to customers at scale under aggressive timelines
  • Experience in managing stakeholders - users, customers, technical leaders, and senior management to collect requirements, describe system designs, and set product strategy
  • Excellent full-stack software development skills in modern programming languages (Python, C++, Typescript, etc.), databases, containerized frameworks, and cloud services (EC2, Lambda, etc).
  • Knowledge of cloud-native architecture, event-based and message-driven distributed systems.
  • Proficiency in best practices; code reviews, code standards, source management, CI/CD, testing, and full software life cycle.
  • Strong communication skills, and ability to work well in a team environment.
  • Self-motivated and able to solve problems independently.


Additional Skills:

  • Experience designing and delivering large-scale data pipelines, integrating with BI tools (Tableau, Grafana, etc), and developing analytics.
  • Preferred BS/MS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Math, or related STEM degree.
