Position: Lead Embedded control Engineer


Essential Job Responsibilities

  • Improve on an existing feedback controller hardware for the magnetic bearing system with deep understanding of digital and analog circuits, Digital Signal Processor, microprocessors, anti-aliasing filters and field-programmable gate arrays (FPGAs).
  • Improve on a contactless position sensor circuitry with knowledge of modulation/demodulation in a resonate circuit for the magnetic bearing controller system.
  • Maintain the controller embedded software with Digital Signal Processor for the magnetic bearing system.
  • Identify complex problems and develop innovative solutions.
  • Debug code written by others.
  • Explain complex concepts to other team members.
  • Code, test, and debug firmware, which is an integral part of any embedded system.
  • Participate in the design and development of firmware and embedded hardware/software components, ensuring adherence to coding standards, quality guidelines, and industry best practices.
  • Implement, test, and debug firmware and embedded software modules on various microcontrollers and processors.
  • Conduct unit testing and integration testing to ensure proper functionality and performance of the firmware and embedded hardware/software.
  • Collaborate with the testing team to identify and resolve software defects and performance issues
  • Support the production team in the deployment and verification of firmware and software updates
  • Keep abreast of emerging technologies, industry trends, and advancements in firmware and embedded software development.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of development processes and methodologies.



Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in power electronic engineering or related field of study with embedded development experience
  • Experience with HVAC equipment, product design, laboratory equipment and testing practices, operations environment, or project management is preferred.
  • Ability to create, read, and interpret drawings and schematic diagram with the schematic tool software package such as Altium.
  • Embedded c, C++, arm, Microcontroller, Rtos, modbus, embedded systems development, bitbucket, jira
  • Solid understanding of firmware and embedded software development concepts, principles, and practices
  • Proficiency in C/C++ programming languages for embedded systems
  • Familiarity with real-time operating systems (RTOS) and related development tools
  • Knowledge of microcontrollers and processors commonly used in embedded systems.
  • Experience with debugging tools and techniques for embedded systems.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with a keen attention to detail
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to learn quickly and adapt to new technologies and tools.
